Short answer

No free host gives you everything. Each one trades something: a server that sleeps when empty, a start queue, a renewal timer, or less RAM. Pick by what matters to your group.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on what your group needs. We don't rank hosts, because we're one of them.

Some stay online while you renew them (FreeMcServer every 4–6 hours; Severoo with free credits). Others sleep or stop when empty and start again when you or a friend starts them or joins. Paid plans at FreeMcServer and FalixNodes stay on; at Minehut, only the Ultimate plan is online 24/7.2, 23, 15, 18, 20, 21, 19

Severoo and FreeMcServer say they have none. Aternos, FalixNodes and Play Hosting describe queues at busy times. Minehut doesn't say.1, 23, 14, 18, 25

FreeMcServer: yes, from its Public Page, no login needed. FalixNodes: yes, from its Start Server page. Minehut: wakes when a player joins. Aternos: with Share access. Severoo: stays online while renewed, so friends can join.3, 18, 21, 10, 23
